Underground waterproofing system

The FATRAFOL-H system is designed for double-sided embedded, usually single-layer membrane insulation of buildings against ground moisture, sub-surface and underground water, certain liquids and radon. The versatility of the system is based on broad variability and mutual material compatibility.

Waterproofing against water

Produkt

Waterproofing against water in the FATRAFOL-H system is designed for the underground parts of buildings where the structure comes into contact with water.

Protects against pressurised water as well as water running over the surface of structures or seeping through the surrounding rock environment.

With pressurised water, the most demanding solution must be considered below groundwater level, but risk can also arise above it on contact with backfill or soil without reliable drainage.

FATRAFOL 803

Unreinforced membrane based on plasticised PVC. Designed for waterproofing buildings against seepage water and water running over the surface of structures.

FATRAFOL 803S

Unreinforced membrane based on plasticised PVC with a yellow signal layer. Designed for waterproofing structures against aggressive and pressurised water. Used especially for ground tanks, sumps and agricultural buildings.

FATRAFOL 813

Plasticised-PVC-P-based membrane with embedded glass fleece. Equipped with a yellow signal layer. Suitable for environments where contamination by petroleum substances may occur.

FATRAFOL 929

Protects building walls against moisture. Forms a horizontal barrier inserted at the base of the wall, preventing vertical capillary rise of moisture.

Tunnel waterproofing

Produkt

The FATRAFOL-T waterproofing system is designed for double-sided embedded membrane coatings of tunnels and underground parts of structures associated with tunnel construction, against the unwanted effects of water and certain liquids.

FATRAFOL-T is suitable for both open and closed waterproofing systems and is used for mined, cut-and-cover and embanked tunnels.

The system is suitable for almost all types of environment with various corrosive loading and a temperature range of at least -20 °C to +40 °C.

FATRAFOL 911

Waterproofing of tunnels and underground structures, including those exposed to water with hydrostatic pressure.

Chemical-resistant waterproofing

Produkt

When buildings are loaded by selected chemical substances of organic or inorganic chemistry, e.g. in the form of contaminated soil or in the construction of handling areas, containment and emergency sumps

Chemical insulation EKOPLAST 806 and FATRAFOL 803 (803 S) against substance leakage from technologies, when properly installed in the building, simultaneously also fulfils the waterproofing function against water and moisture.

EKOPLAST 806

Insulation of facilities for handling and temporary storage of selected petroleum substances, e.g. for sealing handling areas, emergency and containment sumps.

FATRAFOL 803

Unreinforced membrane based on plasticised PVC. Designed for waterproofing buildings against seepage water and water running over the surface of structures.

Waterproofing against ground moisture

Produkt

Waterproofing against ground moisture is designed for areal buildings without underground sections; typical examples are warehouses and industrial halls.

Loading by ground moisture arises from water bound in the porous rock environment by sorption and capillary forces.

From the perspective of hydrophysical loading, this represents the least intense loading, which corresponds to relatively simple waterproofing measures.

STAFOL 914

Membrane designed for waterproofing buildings against ground moisture. Cannot be used for loads from pressurised water.

Radon protection

Produkt

All waterproofing membranes of the FATRAFOL-H system can also serve as radon protection.

It offers free calculations for sizing radon insulation as part of technical support.

For basic guidance, the FATRAFOL-H Construction and Technological Specification provides an empirical table for sizing radon insulation.
