Gravel ballasted roof

Fastening the waterproofing coating (or the entire roof assembly) by ballasting is dominant on roofs of smaller area with a reinforced-concrete load-bearing layer of the roof envelope. It is commonly used on residential buildings or buildings of civic amenities.
