FATRAFAST is a PVC-P profile with aluminium reinforcement designed for hot-air welding to the main waterproofing layer of a roof made from a mechanically fastened FATRAFOL membrane. The aluminium reinforcement is fitted with a plastic cap at both ends.
Auxiliary components are an integral part of the waterproofing of every building.
Our accessories contribute to the perfect tightness of the insulation envelope.
The materials are derived from the individual FATRAFOL membrane types, which guarantees their mutual compatibility.
The FATRAFAST profile is designed for installing various structural elements (e.g. distribution grids, photovoltaic panel mounts, technical equipment, air conditioning units, solar heaters, etc.) on roofs or terraces with mechanically fastened FATRAFOL waterproofing membrane. The embedded aluminium profile allows structural elements to be fastened by a screw connection without perforating the waterproofing membrane.
The profile is designed for installation on flat roofs and roofs with sloping planes up to 10°. It is recommended to apply the profiles to a finished roof waterproofing as soon as possible after its completion, in close proximity to the line of fasteners. The profiles are fastened to the waterproofing membrane by hot-air welds on both sides and laid in line with a gap of 10–20 mm that allows smooth water drainage.
The minimum recommended waterproofing membrane thickness for installing photovoltaic systems is 1.80 mm. For other structures, 1.50 mm. More information on profile application can be found in the Installation manual. A video showing the welding of the profile can be found here.
