The FATRAFOL 929 membrane protects building walls against moisture. It forms a horizontal barrier inserted at the base of the wall, preventing vertical capillary rise of moisture from foundations into walls.
Thanks to its profiled surface on both sides, it bonds excellently with the mortar bed.
The strip must be at least as wide as the masonry including plaster.
The membrane is fully compatible with bitumen and primers, so it does not degrade on contact with them and continues to insulate perfectly.
Thickness (mm) | Width (mm) | Length per roll (m) |
|---|---|---|
approx. 1.2 | 200 - 1 000 | 50 |
The membrane is inserted between the floor slab and the first course of masonry units when constructing external and internal walls. The membrane complies with EN 14909 and DIN 18533 and, thanks to its profiled surface on both sides, bonds excellently with the mortar bed and provides high shear resistance of the masonry. The membrane is compatible with bitumen and can be easily laid in strips. The strip must be at least as wide as the masonry including plaster. The roll width should be chosen so that the membrane can be connected to the horizontal and, if applicable, the vertical waterproofing in the field area.
