The primary function that every roof must fulfil is to protect the building against water and its destructive effects in all forms. In recent years, however, an increasing number of devices and accessories have been installed on flat roofs, particularly photovoltaic systems. It is therefore essential that the installation process does not damage the roof membrane or compromise its waterproofing function.
One solution for securing such equipment on flat roofs is the FATRAFAST profile from Fatra Napajedla. This PVC-P profile with aluminium reinforcement is designed for safe and easy integration with the roof waterproofing layer where mechanically fastened FATRAFOL membranes are used. Its properties allow for a wide range of applications, not only for photovoltaic panel installations, but also for solar thermal systems, HVAC equipment, air-conditioning units, and even for the installation of wooden decking on balconies and terraces.
The FATRAFAST profile enables secure connection to the roof waterproofing layer without perforating the membrane. Thanks to the aluminium reinforcement, forces are evenly transferred to the roof supporting structure. The FATRAFAST profile is attached by hot-air welding on both sides using a welding machine. This eliminates the need for mechanical fastening elements and significantly reduces the risk of water ingress into the roof structure.
The FATRAFAST profile represents a reliable solution for the installation of photovoltaic panels and other similar equipment on roofs. It offers fast and easy installation, helping to save both time and costs during roof project implementation.
